“As students here, we can
adapt our medical school curriculum much easier around our families and work,
than we could in a more traditional model of medical education. This way,
we can keep those important relationships intact and our families in a
state of well-being as we embark upon this journey.”

Your dream of earning a medical degree is now just a click away.
Attending medical school is now possible with minimal disruption to
your professional and personal lives during the first half of the
program.
Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, PA is offering an “Introduction to Medicine” course—your
first step toward becoming a physician.
Students in the “Introduction to Medicine” course fly or drive every
other weekend to complete coursework using an innovative, interactive online curriculum.
After successfully completing the “Introduction to Medicine” course,
you may be eligible to enroll in the world’s first distance learning medical school, where
you can complete two years of pre-clinical studies using this case-based curriculum in conjunction
with online instructors, discussion board sessions, comprehensive Internet
research and one-on-one sessions with a physician mentor in your community.
Once your clinical rotations begin in year three, just like all medical students
in the U.S. and abroad, study becomes your 60-80 hours per week job and may require
relocation to one of several accredited U.S. teaching hospitals providing clinical
training.
A strong comfort level with online communication and research is important
for optimum program success.
